Are doctors being overpaid and causing the catastrophic rise in American Healthcare costs?

Let's look at internists:

Well, yes but...

how much do doctors make, physicians earnings, US doctors income

Hi,

This may further add to your argument. Your Australian figures are way out. The base rate for an internist in their first year as a salaried doctor in the public hospital system is about $75 AUD and hour which is approximately $70 USD. Most would earn more as they earn higher rates for after hours work.
